Mediation · Organisational development · Leadership

A steadier way through conflict and change.

I work with people and mission-driven organisations to transform conflict, strengthen relationships and create the conditions for meaningful, lasting work.

Based in Kenya · Working across regions and remotely
Interwoven copper and ochre fibres meeting across a dark surfaceThe work begins with connection.

People shape the systems they inhabit.

When relationships are strained, even good plans struggle to hold. When people can speak honestly, navigate disagreement and share responsibility, organisations gain the trust they need to grow.

My practice brings mediation and organisational development together: attending to the human experience of change while making structures, decisions and everyday ways of working more effective.

Work that meets the moment.

Every engagement starts with listening. The support that follows is shaped around the people, context and decisions involved.

01

Conflict & mediation

Facilitated dialogue, negotiation and mediation that help people address difficult issues, repair relationships where possible and find workable agreements.

02

Organisational development

Thoughtful support with strategy, governance, culture, processes and change, so that an organisation’s systems serve its people and purpose.

03

Leadership & facilitation

Spaces for leaders and teams to reflect, make sense of complexity, build shared direction and move from conversation to accountable action.

Clarity with care.
Care with courage.

I believe durable change grows from honest conversations, shared ownership and systems that reflect the values people claim.

I.

Listen to the whole picture

Understand the relationships, power, context and patterns beneath the presenting issue.

II.

Make room for difficult truths

Create a thoughtful process where people can be heard, differences can be worked through and accountability can take shape.

III.

Turn insight into practice

Translate shared understanding into decisions, habits and structures that can endure beyond a single conversation.

Portrait of Agatta Wanjiru Chege

Grounded in practice. Guided by possibility.

I am an organisational development practitioner and certified mediator working at the intersection of relationships, leadership and institutional change. My experience spans finance and operations, governance, grantmaking and the systems that help feminist and movement organisations do their work well.

As a co-founder of Mercatta Consulting, I bring a practical lens to questions that are deeply human: how we handle conflict, how we work together, and how we build organisations that can sustain their purpose and their people.

I work best alongside teams willing to ask honest questions and shape solutions with those most affected.
